Our make-and-take meal assembly concept was developed by a team of professionals with unmatched experience in developing and testing recipes for the nationally syndicated daily Mr. Food television show, as well as for best-selling cookbooks, magazines, newspapers, and a variety of projects for clients including national food councils and manufacturers.

Q Do I need restaurant or other foodservice experience?

A Absolutely not! Our comprehensive "no-fuss University" training program, coupled with onsite training and excellent ongoing franchisee support, will prepare you to open and operate your store.

A Sure! We think this is yet another recipe for success, since you can combine your talents and abilities to not only complement each other but also allow you more flexibility and growth opportunities in your business.

Q How much does it cost to open a Mr. Food no-fuss Meals business?

A The estimated cost of opening a Mr. Food no-fuss Meals store in a leased strip center is between $211,000 and $337,100, which includes a $35,000 franchise and development fee, build-out, foodservice equipment, training, your Grand Opening Fund, etc.

There are many variables involved in determining the cost, including your geographical location and the cost of retail space in your area, leasehold improvements that may be necessary, required deposits, and other factors. More specific details on costs are covered in the Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC), which you will receive later should you proceed with the franchising process.

Q What are the royalties and additional fees for ongoing service?

A Our weekly franchise royalties are 6% of net sales. For this you'll receive the benefits of the outstanding research and development that go into creating each month's menu and recipes that we provide to you, plus ongoing franchise support and training, use of our proprietary Web site (including our extensive custom ordering system) and much more.

There is also a 2% contribution to our Corporate Marketing Fund. This fund is important as it is used to create and provide marketing, PR and advertising to increase public awareness of our entire franchise brand, with the goal of continuing to boost overall store sales.

Q What type of support can I expect to get?

A We'll be with you every step of the way. During the planning and pre-opening stages, we'll provide you with detailed store layouts, equipment specifications, and outlines of practically everything you'll need to open your store. After attending our extensive 2-week training program at “no-fuss University,” you should feel confident that you'll have what it takes to run your business. We will also be with you at your store for approximately one week before and the first week of operation.

And there's more! We'll supply you with detailed monthly recipes, product and ordering information, food cost projections, designed advertisements and other collateral materials to assist you in running your business. You'll have a Mr. Food no-fuss Meals team member to guide you as you build your business, in addition to the ongoing support of our entire team.

Remember, you are in business for yourself but not by yourself.

Q Tell me about your food quality and guest experience.

A We have the freshest ingredients and the highest quality finished food in this industry. Our exciting and varied recipes are tested repeatedly until they receive the Mr. Food “goof-proof” rating and to ensure that their taste and texture is of the highest level even after transporting, freezing, and thawing. It's the same with our guest experience. We consistently survey our guests to find out what they are looking for in their Mr. Food no-fuss Meals experience and to be sure we're fulfilling their ever-changing needs.

Q Do you offer assistance with finding a location?

A Our team will guide you through this process, including providing demographic information, however you will play the primary role in choosing the site of your store.

Q What should I look for in a location?

A A retail location of approximately 1,500 to 1,700 square feet in an active strip center. There should be a population of at least 75,000 within a 5-mile radius of the location. It must have ample parking and outside lighting, and easy customer access. These and additional factors will be discussed when we meet with you.

Q Will I have a protected territory? If so, how is it determined?

A Absolutely! If you and your territory are approved, you will be granted the right to operate a Mr. Food no-fuss Meals store at a single specified location. Your territory is generally dependent upon population density and dining trends of the community in which your store is located. We evaluate these indicators and determine defined and protected territories to allow for healthy sales opportunities for each franchisee.
